  EMERSON A. REID
  
  Emerson A. Reid, 74, Yucaipa, Calif., formerly of New Castle and
  Confluence, died Friday, May 14, 2004, in Yucaipa.  Born Jan. 15, 1930, in
  Confluence, a son of the late James and Elvie (Younkin) Reid.  He is
  preceded in death by two brothers, Kermit of White House, Tenn., and Robert
  of Pt. Marion.  Survived by his wife, the former Catherine Evans, and the
  following children: Emerson A. Reid Jr. of New Castle, Linda Senchak of
  Yucaipa, Calif., and Joy Ann Lenhart of Memphis, Tenn.  Also survived by
  brother Dane of York; two sisters, Frances Hiles and Catherine Desatnik,
  both of New Castle; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
  Cremation service conducted in Yucaipa at the convenience of the family.
