  John Paul Reid, 80, of Confluence RD 1, died Jan. 18, 1978, in Fazio
  Nursing Home, Markleysburg.  Born March 27, 1897, in Pittsburgh, son of the
  late Alexander and Frances (Critchfield) Reid.  Survived by one sister, Mrs.
  Isabella Hoover of Hutehinson, Pa., and brother, Edgar, of Hagerstown, Md.
  Friends will be received after 4 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the
  Rev. Arthur J. Gotjen officiating.  Interment, Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
