  Joseph Garland (Fat) Reid, 68, of 7602 Snow Rd., Parma, Ohio, died Oct. 20,
  1977 in Mt. Sinai Hospital, Cleveland.  Born Feb. 14, 1909 in Garrett County,
  Md., son of John and Annie (Short) Reid.  Preceded in death by parents.
  Survived by widow, the former Irene Ward and these children: Mrs. John
  (Mary Ann) Stewart, Mrs. John (Joanne) Pacifico, and Garland Richard Reid,
  harried to the former Sue Sines, all of Cleveland; nine grandchildren; and
  one great-grandchild.  Brother of Bueanna Shaffer, widow of Earl Shaffer;
  Reva Brougher, wife of Wilfred Brougher, both of Somerset; James Darrell
  Reid, married to the former Betty Weimer of Hubbard, Ohio; Agnes Percherke,
  wife of Andy Pereherke of Jenner Crossroads; one niece, Mrs. Carl (Vivian)
  Perian of Ligonier; three nephews, James Brougher of Pittsburgh; Wilfred
  Reid of Somerset; and Ronald Reid of Somerset RD 2.  A former resident of
  Sipesville, he was employed by the Consolidation Coal Co. of Acosta for 25
  years.  He moved to Parma, Ohio, 25 years ago and was employed by the Fanner
  Corp. until his retirement five years ago.  Services will be held at the
  Mallchok Funeral Home, Ridge Road, Parma, Ohio.  Interment, Sunset Memorial
  Park, Parma, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be Made to the
  Cancer Society.
