WALTER REIS

  Walter Reis, 53, of Friedens, R.D. 1, died Friday noon, April 25, in Memorial 
Hospital, Johnstown.  He was born in Accident, Md., a son of the late Frederick 
and Sophia Miller Reis.
  His wife, Mrs. Permilla (Bumbarger) Reis, survives and the following children: 
Richard W. and Betty Lou Reis, at home; Chester Reis, Friedens; Mrs. Albert 
Texta, Somerset, R.D. 5, and two grandchildren.  Also surviving are the 
following brothers and sisters: Albert Reis, Meyersdale; George Reis, Findley, 
O.; Christian Reis, Uniontown; Clarence Reis, Pitcairn; Carl Reis, Los Angeles, 
Cal.; Melvin Reis, Confluence; Mrs. Barney Bellows, Mapa, Cal.; Mrs. Alex 
Cameron, Oil City; Mrs. Earl Moore, San Francisco.
  Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Reis home by Rev. I. 
F. Woodrow.  Interment was made Tuesday at McIlvey's Fort, in charge of the 
Hauger Funeral Home, Somerset.
