Reitz, 99, of Somerset, died Jan. 8, 1997, at Patriot Manor. Born Nov. 12, 1897, in Adams, son of the late George E. and Ada (Peck) Reitz. Preceded in death by his first wife, the former Emma Berkley, and second wife, the former Pearl Lauffer. Survived by a son, Ray W. Reitz of Jim Thorpe, Pa.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Stella Walker, Somerset, and John Reitz, Charlottsville, Va. He was a retired dairy farmer and was a former weighmaster at Wells Creek Mines in Adams. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church and a former member of the Stoystown Lions Club. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home in Somerset, where private funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Rev. James Ling officiating.
