Born Aug. 28, 1900, in Preston County, W. Va., he was a son of the late Amos and Annie (Slabaugh) Rembold. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie G. (Livengood) Rembold, May 15, 1993; one grandson, Darius Rembold; four great-grandchildren: Jeff Shoemaker, April Saylor, Michael Rembold and an infant son. Mr. Rembold was a member of Springs Mennonite Church and was a self-employed carpenter. He is survived by two sons, Edgar and Olen Rembold, both of Springs; two daughters, Thelma Shoemaker, Springs; Cleo Saylor, Salisbury; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. on Friday, June 21. Services were conducted at Springs Mennonite Church on Saturday, June 22 with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. Interment, Springs Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to either Springs Mennonite Church or Goodwill Mennonite Home. New Republic, June 6, 2002 [R361]
