    Jeni Jonae Rempel, 19, Confluence, died May 18, 2008, in West Virginia University
  Medical Center, Morgantown, W.Va., as the result of an automobile accident. Born April
  26, 1989, in Lanzhou, China. She is the daughter of Larry and Victoria (Underwood)
  Rempel, Confluence. Also surviving is paternal grandmother, Helen Rempel, Rancho
  Cucamonga, Calif.; and brothers, Hans Rempel, Taipei, Taiwan; Chris Rempel, Lynnwood,
  Wash.; and Erich Rempel, Rancho Cucamonga. Preceded in death by a sister, Laura
  Mankamyer; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Naoma Underwood; and paternal grandfather,
  Herman Rempel. A 2007 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School and a recipient of
  the Joe (H.C.) Harned Scholarship. Currently she was a student in pre-med studies at Lock
  Haven University and employed part time at Confluence Food Mart and Shepherd's Farm
  Restaurant. No viewing or visitation. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 1 p.m.
  Friday in the United Community Church of God, Ursina. The Rev. Dean Hay Jr. officiating.
  Private interment in St. John's Cemetery, Larimer Township. Family suggests memorial
  contributions in Jeni's memory to the United Community Church of God, 418 Park St.,
  Confluence, PA 15424. Funeral arrangements in charge of Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence.
