Reppert, 50, prominent coal operator of Flemington, West Va., died Tuesday morning at his home after an illness of two days. Death was due to pneumonia. He was president of the Reppert Coal Company which a year ago was expanded to include the purchase of the Bethlehem, Fairmont Coal Company on the outskirts of Shinston, West Va. He was a nephew and namesake of the late Judge E. H. Reppert of Uniontown. His wife, the former Miss Beulah Getty of Grantsville, Md., survives, also five children, his father, A. E. Reppert of Frostburg, and a brother. Two sons are in the service, one an ensign in the U.S. Navy somewhere on the Pacific. Mrs. Reppert's mother, Mrs. Sara R. Getty, of the Somerset American editorial staff, left Somerset Thursday morning to attend the funeral of her son-in-law. Meyersdale Republican, October 26, 1944
