She was in ill health for several years and was stricken with a cerebral hemorrahage three weeks ago, which caused her death. She was the daughter of the late James P. and Barbara Meyers Wiley, and was born near Bittinger, September 19, 1870. Her husband died in 1937. Surviving are the following children: Roy Resh, Canton, O.; Mrs. Carrie Butler, Elkins, W.Va.; Earl Resh, Jennings; Mrs. Lucretia Legeer, Ernest Orvis, Brison, Resley and Mrs. Minta Schaefer, Grantsville; 32 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. Ida Hager, Akron, O., Mrs. Lucretia Groves, Frostburg, and Mrs. Harriet Resh, Grantsville and three brothers, Ralph Wiley, New Germany, Harvey Wiley, Accident, and Grant Wiley, Grantsville. Mrs. Resh was a life long member of the Bittinger Lutheran Church and lived with her daughter, Mrs. Schaefer her last five years. Funeral services were held at the Bittinger Lutheran Church, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Curt H. Runze officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
