Born in Cumberland, Md., he was a son of the late Simon Resh and Harriet (Wiley) Resh. His wife, Grace (Yost) Resh, preceded him in death. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Jennings, owned and operated Resh Lumber Company for 25 years and had owned and operated a general store in the Maple Grove area. He also was a beef cattle farmer, a former member of Garrett County Farm Bureau, and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are four sons, Harold Resh, Cleveland, Ohio; Robert Resh, Clairton, Pa.; Kenneth Resh, Grantsville; Emerson Resh, Baltimore; eight daughters, Mrs. Doris Blocher, LaVale; Mrs. Josephine Crowe, Baltimore; Mrs. Mary Kamp and Mrs. Norma Bowser, both of Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Helen Bowser, Lewisville, Ohio; Mrs. Wanda Brewer, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mrs. Frances Barncord, Corriganville; Mrs. Kathryn Nixon, Richmond, Va.; four brothers, Howard Resh, Akron, Ohio; Lersey Resh, Uniontown, Ohio; Joseph Resh and Paul Resh, both of Cumberland, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Stahl, Cumberland, Md., Mrs. Beatrice Glotfelty, Accident: 22 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
