  EVELYN M. RESH 
  
  Evelyn M. Resh, 53, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1986, at the Frostburg Community
  Hospital, Md.  Born in Nikep on March 13, 1933, she was the daughter of
  Edward P. Matthews, Lonaconing, Md.; and the late Hazel Viola (Smith)
  Matthews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Resh, on June
  29, 1982.  Surviving besides her father are two sons, Ernest D. Matthews,
  Lonaconing, Md.; and Cecil Preston, Germantown, Md.; two daughters, Mrs.
  Helen Spiker and Mrs. Lisa Resh, both of Grantsville, Md.; four brothers,
  David Matthews, Westernport, Md.; Robert Matthews, Moscow; Lewis Matthews,
  Lonaconing, Md.; and Raymond Matthews, Midland, Md.; three sisters, Mrs.
  Ruth Wilson, Lonaconing, Md.; Mrs. Shirley Basey, McCoole, Md. and Mrs.
  Dorothy McKenzie, Frostburg, Md. and eight grandchildren.  Friends were
  received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where services were
  conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. George Harpold.  Interment,
  Grantsville Cemetery.
