JAMES RESH

  COAL RUN, March 14 - Funeral services for James Resh were conducted on Sunday, 
March 4th, at 2 o'clock in the Lutheran Church at Bittinger, Md.  He died at the 
home of his son, Clarence Resh, Coal Run, on March 1, at the age of 87 years, 11 
months and 26 days.  His parents were Mathias and Catherine Resh of near 
Bittinger.  He joined the Lutheran Church at Bittinger when quite young and 
married Annabel Stanton.  His wife died Feb. 6, 1943.  They had seven children, 
five of whom survive, namely: Clarence Resh, Coal Run; Thomas Resh, Accident, 
Md.; Hillary Resh, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Etta M. Margroff, Hyndman; and Mrs. 
Elsie Glover, Addison.  Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 16 great-
grandchildren.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. George E. Bowersox, 
pastor of the Grantsville Lutheran charge.  Interment in the Bittinger Cemetery.
