Resh, 72, of Star Route, Grantsville, Md. died July 29, at Frostburg Community Hospital. A retired construction worker and steam shovel operator, he was a member of local 37, International Operating Engineers; the Grantsville Sportsmen's Club and Zion Lutheran Church, Jennings. Born in Grantsville, he was a son of the late Simon and Harriett (Wiley) Resh. Surviving are his widow, Evelyn (Matthews) Resh; one son, Daniel Resh, of Grantsville; five daughters, Mrs. Shirley Yommer, Mrs. Judy Yommer, Mrs. Frances Durst and Miss Lisa Resh, all of Grantsville; and Miss Freda Resh, LaVale, Md.; one stepson, Ernest Matthews, Lonaconing, Md.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Helen Spiker, Frostburg, Md.; three brothers, Howard Resh, Akron, Ohio; Lersey Resh, Uniontown, Ohio, and Joseph Resh, of Grantsville; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Stahl, of Grantsville, and Mrs. Beatrice Glotfelty, of Bittinger, Md.; 19 grandchildren Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Services were conducted at Zion Lutheran Church, Jennings, by the Rev. David Lockwood and the Rev. Richard J. Greene. Interment in the Grantsville Cemetery. The Republic, July 8, 1982 [R394]
