Born April 3, 1936, in Jennings, Md., he was a son of the late Earl and Oma (Platter) Resh. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lola Louise (Yommer) Resh, on July 3, 1993; a granddaughter, Amy Durst; a brother, Ray Resh; and a sister, Freda Brittain. He was an equipment operator for the Garrett County Roads Department. Mr. Resh is survived by two daughters: Brenda J. Durst and Jenny L. Wilhelm, both of Grantsville, Md.; two step-daughters: Mary A. Yoder, Grantsville; and Cheryl Wilhelm, Avilton, Md.; four step-sons: Raymond Yommer, Boynton; Robert L. Yommer, Grantsville; Gary Yommer, Grand River, Ohio; and Roger Yommer, Meyersdale. He is also survived by four brothers: Ralph Resh, Clearville, Pa.; Carlton Resh and Guy Resh, both of Mantua, Ohio; and Blaine Resh, Grantsville; five sisters: Mabel Miller and Pauline Yommer, both of Grantsville; Thelma Bittinger, Lonaconing, Md.; Blanche Hillegas, Bedford; and Gladys Butler, Jefferson, Ohio; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on March 22. Services were conducted March 23, with the Rev. Alan Birkby officiating. Interment, Grantsville.
