Resh, 74, Boswell (Jenner Township), died Nov. 5, 2007, at his home. Born Oct. 27, 1933 in Boswell, the son of Asa and Minnie (Ulery) Resh. Preceded in death by parents, infant son, Randy Lee; father-in-law, William Carroll; brother, Willard Resh and sister, Helen Brooks. Survived by loving and devoted wife of 54 years, the former Kathryn Carroll; children, Rodney "Toby," married to the former Roxanne Horner, Jenners Crossroads; Cynthia "Cyndi" Rose, Jenner Township; Rhonda, married to Craig Horner, Jennerstown; and Jamie, married to the former Julie Devoe, Boswell; grandson, Jimmy Rose, whom Terry and Kathryn helped to raise; grandchildren, Janelle, Rodney Jr. "Buddy" and Vanessa Resh, Amanda, married to David McCorkle, Johnathon and Rebecca "Becky" Horner, Stephen and Tiffany St. Clair; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Matthew Shaulis. Also survived by brothers, Ken Resh and wife, Delores, Somerset; Ted Resh and wife, Delores, Newton Falls, Ohio; Harold Resh, Newton Falls, Ohio; Dane Resh and wife, Sherry, Rockford, Ill.; sisters, Eldeen (Resh) Leasure, Farmington, Ohio; Judy (Melton), married to Steve Christiansen, Poplar Grove, Ill.; mother-in-law, Mildred (Brant) Carroll, Jenner Township; sister-in-law, Rita Resh, Hanover, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Dave and Joan Bruening, Gray, and Paul and Jean Lawrence, Marietta, Ohio; and loving pet, companion, Rascal. A 1951 graduate of Somerset High School. He was a truck driver for Matlack Inc., having retired in 1998. A member of Mount Laurel United Church of Christ, Gray, where he served as a deacon, Somerset Lodge 358, F&AM, the "Over the Hill Gang," and was a member of the Teamsters Union for over 40 years. Life member of the Jenner Rod & Gun Club and the Mosquito Sportsmen's Club. Along with his wife, he was a devoted caregiver to her brothers, Bill and Butch Carroll and to her mother. He was an avid collector of anything to do with frogs. He also enjoyed watching and feeding squirrels, raising pigs and chickens, watching old western movies and hunting. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where a Masonic service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mount Laurel Church. The Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer officiating. Interment, Jennerstown Lutheran Cemetery.
