  REYNOLDS, James Guynn 04/18/07  Daily American
  
   James Guynn Reynolds, 85, Bedford, died in UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital April 10,
  2007. He was born in West Newton Oct. 27, 1921, the only son of Dr. Harry R. and Fern
  Guynn Reynolds. Surviving are his wife, Marcy Coffman Reynolds; daughter Kay Reynolds;
  and son, Gregg Reynolds all of Bedford; grandson, James G. Fungaroli and wife, Perci S.
  Fungaroli; and great-grandsons, Conor Fungaroli and Cole Fungaroli, Fishertown. He was
  educated at Augusta Military Acadamy in Staunton, Va., and a graduate of West Newton High
  School. Mr. Reynolds served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II. He was
  awarded the Philippine Liberation Medal with two Bronze Stars, the Asiatic-Pacific
  Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars, and the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation
  Badge. He held the rank of technical sergeant. He worked for the Mellon Family of
  Ligonier for many years and owned the well-known Coffee Shop restaurant in Somerset
  before moving to Bedford to manage the Ski Shop at the newly-opened Blue Knob Ski Area.
  He was a petroleum landman working for Amoco Production and other oil compamies in
  Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan and West Virginia until his retirement. His quiet,
  unassuming manner and wicked sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
  He was a wonderful writer and an avid reader. He was well traveled and particularly
  loved the Southwest. He was an accomplished cook and a raconteur. He will be greatly
  missed by his family. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the
  convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Bedford
