All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ RAYMOND REYNOLDS Raymond Oliver Reynolds died at his home on Sterner Street, at 8:30 p.m., Monday, May 30th, after an illness of about three months, suffering from an attack of acute indigestion followed by heart trouble. Raymond O. Reynolds was born at Confluence on March 18, 1881, a son of the late George and Ida E. Reynolds, who survives him. He was aged 51 years, 2 months and 12 days. Deceased was practically all his life a resident of Confluence, having served as assistant signal maintainer of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, working out of Confluence most of the past fifteen years. Previous to that time he had been in the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad as fireman. He was a kind and loving father, and was a friend of every one with whom he had ever had any dealings. He was for a number of years a member of the Men's Bible Class of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was a member of the Confluence tent, No. 228, Knights of the Maccabees, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Signalmen of America, at Connellsville. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ida E. Reynolds, and three children, Wallace, Stella E., and Thomas J. Reynolds, all at home. Surviving also is one brother, Charles J. Reynolds of Martinsburg, W.Va. His wife preceded him to the grave about eight and one half years ago. Funeral services were held at the Confluence Baptist Church on Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Daniel E. Hartman, pastor of the Linesville Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was made in the Baptist Cemetery. The pallbearers, all members of the Maccabees, were E. B. Brown, H. J. Hunter, M. E. Goller, Frank Bowlin, Q. K. VanSickle, and F. S. Gerhart. Those from a distance who were called here by the death of Mr. Reynolds were Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Reynolds and son, Charles, Jr.; Miss Olive Reynolds and Norman Vorhees, Martinsburg, W.Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Earle Morris and daughter, Beatrice, Everett, Pa.; Robert Pullin and daughter, Jennie, Point Marion; Mrs. Stella Alker and Miss Bertha Bargeman, Millvale; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bargeman and Mr. Williams, Pittsburgh; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sterner and Mrs. Nellie Sterner, Akron, O.; Robert Sterner, Earle Sterner and Mrs. Mary Buckloo, Morgantown, W.Va., Mrs. Nannie Bird, Markleysburg; Russell Pullin and Charles Pullin, Somerset, and Charles Sanner, Fairchance.
