Rhea, New Stanton, died Jan. 10, 1999 at IHS of Pittsburgh, Greensburg. Born June 16, 1922, in Hunker, Pa., son of the late Thomas P. and Grace L. White Rhea. He is survived by his wife, Sara C. Faust Rhea, New Stanton; daughter, Mrs. Chas M. Clarissa "Chris" Ridenour, Hunker; sons: Dick W. Rhea Jr. and wife Joyce, Friedens; Frank D. Rhea and wife, Candace, Greensburg; sister, Mrs. Frank (Mary Jane) Starenchak, Youngwood; 8 grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Also preceded in death by brother Thomas Rhea and aunt who raised him: Isabele R. Trout. He was a former mayor of New Stanton, member and past president Youngwood Lions Club, past president Steel Workers Union Local #1163, former board member Stanwood Area FCU. He served on the original Hempfield Twp. Municipal Authority; life and charter member, New Stanton Fire Dept.; EMT with Mutual Aid. Member of Sons of the American Revolution, Arthur St. Clair Chapter. Retired from Robertshaw Controls. Funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc., Youngwood. The Rev. Dennis J. Hoffman will officiate. Intement in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
