Rhoads, 84, of Berlin RD 1, died March 19, 1982, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born April 10, 1897, in Brothersvalley Township, son of Elmer and Caroline (Hauger) Rhoads. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Katherine Weyand; a son, three sisters and two brothers. Survived by son, Harry E., and daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Adeline) Vieregge, both of Berlin RD 1; also six grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Sadie Maust of Berlin. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Charles W. Sigler.
