Rhoads. 88, of Dunedin, Fla., formerly of Wickliffe, Ohio and Somerset passed away Sept. 23, 2000 at Rosalie Manor in Dunedin. Born July 30, 1912 in Somerset, son of the late Wilson and Maggie (Baer) Rhoads. Preceded in death by sister Mabel Walker. Survived by wife Janet (Weimer) Rhoads, to whom he was married 61 years, and these children: Larry, (married to Donna Mapes) Rhoads of Somerset; Linda. (married to Wilbert J.) Davis if Dunedin; and Jeff, (married to Kathleen Judge) Rhoads of Dunedin. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was a retired employee of the City of Willoughby, Ohio and also worked in Pennsylvania for the Turnpike Commission. Veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II where he was a Seabee who participated in the Pacific Theater. Member of the Lutheran Church. A private visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset with a private graveside service to follow at Somerset County Memorial Park.
