"Sis" (Carroll) 08/16/08 Daily American Ada E. "Sis" (Carroll) Rhodes, 87, Ligonier, formerly of Jenner Township, died Aug. 15, 2008, at the Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Born Nov. 22, 1920, in Bradenville, daughter of Harry and Ada E. (Garbet) Carroll. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Lloyd on Oct. 7, 1980; daughter, Sandra Jean Shaulis; grandson, Kenneth Roberts; and brother, Harry "Bud" Carroll. Survived by children, Annabelle Roberts, Boswell; Richard, married to Janet Eppley, Waterford; Lloyd, married to Mae Graver, Ligonier Township; Barry, married to Dorothy Koontz, Jenner Township; and James, married to So Chong Yi, Clearfield, Utah; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. A graduate of the former Boswell High School. Retired employee of the former Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell. Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle and "Unite Here," formerly the ILGWU. Raising her children was Sis' most important purpose in life. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Gary W.
