Rhodes, 51, of 231 Second St., Acosta, died June 26, 1987, at the V.A. Medical Center, Aspenwall. Born Sept. 10, 1935, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents and foster parents, Raymond and Hazel Kifer. Survived by daughter, Jackie of Custer, S.D.; and one granddaughter. Member of Somerset Posts 554, VFW, and 181 American Legion, and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Graduate of U.S.A.F. pilot school. Veteran of Vietnam Conflict, retired captain of U.S.A.F. with 10 years service. Retired rural mail carrier from Boswell Post Office. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastors Pat and Chris Ramsey officiating.
