  RHODES
  
  Robert Melvin Rhodes, 82, of 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown, formerly of
  Windber, died April 20, 1993, at Arbutus Park Manor.  Born March 28,
  1911, in Windber.  Son of the late Blair and Gussie (Kline) Rhodes.
  Survived by his wife, the former Bertha "Kay" Kathleen Grow, and son,
  Robert M. Jr., married to the former Sally A. Brubaker, of Somerset.
  Also survived by three grandchildren, one sister and two brothers.
  Retired from Baltimore Life Insurance Co. and Berwind White Coal
  Mining Co.  Former member and treasurer for 18 years of the Windber
  Volunteer Fire Company.  Member of Calvary United Methodist Church,
  Windber.  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Meek
  Funeral Home Inc., where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday
  with the Rev. Howard Greenfield officiating.  Entombment Richland
  Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, family suggest contributions to the
  Windber Volunteer Fire Company or Calvary United Methodist Church in
  memory of Mr. Rhodes.
