RICE January 25, 1925 October 11, 2004 James B. "J.B." Rice, 79, of Meyersdale, formerly of Alexandria, Va., died Monday, October 11, 2004, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born January 25, 1925 in Charlottesville, Va., he was a son of the late James B. and Myrtle (Myers) Rice. He was also preceded in death by his brother Charles E. Rice. He is survived by his wife, the former Palma K. DiFebo; and a son, Kenneth L. Rice, married to the former Nancy Tuscano, Oak Hill, Va. Also two grandchildren: James J. Rice, married to the former Melissa L. Stanley; and Alicia L., wife of Kris K. Southwick; a great-granddaughter, Chloey Isabella Rice; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII. Friends were received Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Funeral Mass was at 11 a.m. Friday at SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, with the Rev. James M. Dugan celebrant. Committal will follow at SS. Philip & James Cemetery, Meyersdale. Memorials may be made to "In Touch" Hospice, Somerset, or SS. Philip & James Church, Meyersdale.
