Rice, 56, of 407 Main St., York Springs, died Nov. 21, 1988, in the Hanover Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Shanksville, daughter of Guy Long of Berlin and the late Nellie (Kemmel) Long. She is the wife of Sheridan L. Rice. Member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, York Springs. Also surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Patricia Taylor, Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Deborah Reading, Miss Lisa Rice and Miss Helen Rice, all of Hanover; four grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Charlotte Spangler of Westmont and Miss Thelma Long, Arendtsville; and a brother, David Long of Berlin. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the Pittenturf Funeral Home, 232 Main St., York Springs, the Rev. Robert C. Williams officiating. Interment, Sunnyside Cemetery.
