Rice, 33, of 490 Big Sky Drive, Etters, Pa., died Aug. 5, 1993, at York Hospital after brief illness. Born in Somerset, the son of Dennis E. and Constance J. (Sarver) West. Husband of Yong Hui Rice. In addition to parents, survived by wife; one son, Edward Allen Rice, and one daughter, Amy Jean Rice, both at home. Also 2 brothers, Matthew E. Rice of Richardson, Texas, and Keith A. Rice of Dover, Pa., and sister, Lorri N. Thomson, also of Dover. Was member of Full Gospel Church of God in Camp Hill. Staff sergeant for Army Military Police for 14 years before retiring. Prior to 2 tours in Korea and 2 tours in Germany, he was a military recruitment officer for the U.S. Army in the Philadelphia area. Mr. Rice received Meritorious Service Medal, which is the highest medal during peace time. He was graduated from Dover High School in 1978 and was later honored with the Player of the Decade Award from Dover High School. Funeral service at noon Friday at Full Gospel Church of God, 220 St. John's Church Road, Camp Hill. Burial, Emanuel Church Cemetery Lewisberry. Viewing was held Thursday night at L.E. Diehl Funeral Home, Inc. 87 South Main Street ML Wolf, Pa. Additional viewing from 11 a.m. to noon today (Friday) at the church. Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. A. Alan Alaimo of Full Gospel Church of God and Rev. Yung-Bae Yang from Harrisburg Korean Presbyterian Church, Camp Hill. Modified military services will be performed by funeral detail team from Ft.
