Born April 5, 1916, in Jerome, son of Andrew and Ann (Olenick) Richko. Preceded in death by parents; brothers John and Peter; and sister, Mary Oakler. Survived by wife, former Delia E. Mills; and these children: Sharon, wife of Larry Drenner, Florida; Georgene, wife of Kenneth Nelson, Arlington, Va.; and Steven, at home; and grandchildren Tracy and Matthew Drenner. Brother of Andrew, Jeannette; Helen Whitey of Milan, Ohio; Ann Vudgervic and Steven, both of Wintersville, Ohio. Member of U.M.W.A., Pa. American Legion and D.A.V. Retired miner and also retired from Latrobe Construction. Army Veteran of World War II, served with 101st Airborne Division. A POW for 31/2 years. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny St., Boswell, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Father Ronald Borsuk. Interment, St. Peter and Paul's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Jerome. Full graveside military rite. Daily American, September 9, 1989 [R510]
