  ARTHUR J. RICHTER 
  
  Arthur J. Richter, 69, of Laurel, Md. died August 21, 1983 at his
  residence.  He was formerly of Friendsville, Maryland.  He was born in
  Accident, Maryland, and was a son of the late George Richter and Mary
  (Foy) Richter.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of the
  Cove, Missouri Synod, and he was retired from the State Roads
  Department.  He is survived by his widow, Mary Maude (Garletts)
  Richter; one son, Paul C. Richter, Rome, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Sue
  Meredith, Laurel, Maryland; six brothers, James Richter, Cuyhoga
  Falls, Ohio, Albert Richter, Walter Richter, and Vernon Richter, all
  of Accident, Md.; Edwin Richter, Uniontown; and Clarence Richter,
  Mount Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Iva Mackey, Rugherforton, N.C., and
  Mrs Roberta Bernard, Bittinger; and four grandchildren.  Friends were
  received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Maryland, where
  services  were conducted with the Rev. William Willson officiating. 
  Interment was in Addison cemetery.
