She was born Dec. 4, 1913, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill, her husband, Elmer, co-administrator of the Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School, as well as by her parents, Samuel and Nellie (Miller) Wilson, her twin brother, Park, and four sisters, Erma, Esthel, Eva and Carrie. She is survived by three sons. Robert of Philadelphia, James of Harrison Township, Mich., and Samuel of Providence, and a granddaughter, Elana of Providence. Blanche was a graduate of Rockwood High School and the Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing where she served as a pediatric R.N. She was an active member of the Jacobs Lutheran Church of Masontown and a volunteer for the McClellandtown High School Band Mothers and Meals on Wheels. She did volunteer work in Cranston. Friends will be received from 2-9 p.m. Thursday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, with the Rev. Clarence Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Somerset County Memorial Park. Blanche and her family suggest memorial contributions to any children's charity of the donor's choice. Daily American, December 28, 1999 [R535]
