  Alice Laverne Riley, 73 of McHenry, MD, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Garrett County
  Memorial Hospital, Oakland. 
  She was born September 29, 1933 in Meyersdale, the daughter of the late Stewart and Anna
  (Jordon) Ackerman. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Riley. 
  She is survived by two sons: Michael Riley and wife, Annette, Somerset; Jamie Riley,
  Oakland, MD; four daughters: Nancy Hay and husband, Dean, Markleton; Connie Guillot and
  husband, Joe, McHenry, MD; Cathy Hetz, Meyersdale; Deborah Sharpless and husband, Donald,
  Swanton, MD; a daughter-in-law, Donna Riley, Somerset; one brother, Harold Ackerman,
  Wickliffe, OH; two sisters: Audrey Irwin, Meyersdale; Jane Minnick, Pittsburgh; 11
  grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 
  Mrs. Riley attended Lakeside Assembly of God and was a retired waitress. 
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, 26722 Garrett Highway, P.A., McHenry
  on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services were conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the
  funeral home with the Rev. Robert Collette officiating. Interment was in Fritz Church
  Cemetery, Meyersdale.
