Born Feb. 3, 1927 in Rockwood. Son of Wade William and Laura Margaret (Leydig) Ringer. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Charles W. and Donald F. Ringer. Survived by wife, the former Patricia Barron Henry to whom he was married 54 years- and there is where a beautiful love story began. Children: Ms. Patricia Ann Kulcski of Somerset, and Carl Richard Ringer married to former Charlene Huff of Rockwood, grandchildren, Ms. Laura Ogline of Rockwood, Mrs. William (Michelle) Neiderhiser of Champion, Mrs. Dan (Carla) Harrold of Rockwood, and Miss Alicia Ringer of Rockwood, and great-grandchildren, William Ogline, Nathan and Merril Kate Neiderhiser and Kayla Nist. Brother of Mrs. Fern Tressler. of Rockwood and sister-in-law Velma Ringer of Rockwood. Attended Somerset Alliance Church. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Local 2274 Carpenters of Pittsburgh, and VFW Post 554. Retired carpenter and foreman for Trumbull Corp in Pittsburgh. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. James E. Vandervort officiating.
