RINGER Charles Edward Ringer, 82, of Accident, Md., died Aug. 15, 1995, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland. Ringer was born April 23, 1913, in Accident. He was the son of the late Albert Newton and Mary Etta (Cramer) Ringer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Ringer; and two sisters, Ruth Friend and Hazel Ringer. Ringer is survived by his wife, Garnet Alberta (Reichenbecher) Ringer; a son, Donald C. Ringer, Accident, Md.; a daughter, Dorothy Bernard, Swanton, Md.; three sisters: Margaret Richter and Mary Bach, both of Accident, Md.; and Thelma Richter, Uniontown; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ringer was retired after 32 years as a supervisor for the Garrett County Roads Department. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church (ELCA) Cove and was an honorary member of the Accident Volunteer Fire Department. Friends were received Aug. 17 at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. Services were conducted on Aug. 18 at St. John's Lutheran Church (ELCA), with Rev. Roland E. Nairn III officiating.
