Ringer, 66, Confluence, died May 3, 1984, in St. Petersburg, Fla. Born Dec. 25, 1917, in Grantsville, Md., a son of the late Howard and Eva (Griffith) Ringer. Survived by his wife, the former Betty Martin; one son, Dwane (Randy) Ringer, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and one daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth (Beth) Muir, Tulsa, Okla. He was a former county commissioner, former Turkeyfoot Valley School Director, Confluence councilman, and Confluence Lions Club member. A member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, the Pittsburgh Consistory, the Syria Shrine Temple, and the SAR. Ringer was a former owner of the Ringer Independent Oil Co., a veteran of World War II, and former U.S. State Department appointee. He was a director of the National Bank of Western Pennsylvania. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Gary Patterson officiating.
