She had been ill for several years and her death was due to a heart condition and complications. Mrs. Ringer was aged 78 years, 9 months and 5 days. She was born in Elk Lick Township Aug. 27, 1862, a daughter of Abraham and Ann Maria Miller Mort. She and Mr. Ringer were married Jan. 1, 1881 and for more than fifty of their sixty years of married life they had made their home in this community where Mr. Ringer engaged in farming. For many years she had been a faithful and devout member of the Maple Glen Church of the Brethren. Surviving besides her husband are five daughters, Mrs. William Butler, Meyersdale, Mrs. Omer Cooley, South Connellsville, Pa., Mrs. Irvin Eichorn and Harry Colflesh, Grantsville, and Olive Ringer, at home; two sons, Howard Ringer, Confluence, Pa., and Ferris Ringer, Somerset, Pa.; 28 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Maple Glen Church by the Rev. A. J. Replogle, pastor, and Rev. J. S. Shannon, Confluence, Pa. Interment was in the St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of William Winterberg, local mortician. Meyersdale Republican, June 5, 1941
