Ringer died Tuesday morning, Sept. 5, at his home in Fredonia, Pa., following a brief illness. He was born in Addison Township, Somerset County, Aug. 21, 1870, the son of Samuel and Malinda (Kretchman) Ringer. In 1891 he married Ida Hoffmeyer. He moved to a Mercer County farm in 1913, which he sold in 1929 and moved to Fredonia, where he resided until he died. He is survived by his wife and four of their ten children, namely Mrs. Clarence Redfoot, Mercer Co.; Lester Ringer, Fredonia; Mrs. Clarence Wallace, Corry, Pa.; and Mrs. E. J. Ginter, Cleveland, Ohio. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Wright and Mrs. Elizabeth Hockman, Grantsville, and Reuben Ringer, Wadsworth, Ohio., and by twelve grandchildren. He also leaves a large circle of sorrowing relatives and friends. He was a faithful member of the Lutheran church. Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. Charles E. Schweikert.
