Born March 10, 1906 at Rockwood. He was a son of the late Jacob and Annie (Knopsnyder) Ringer. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred E. (Shaffer) Ringer, on Nov. 11, 1975; a daughter, Jeannie Laing; and a brother, Floyd Ringer. Surviving are three daughters, Lois A. Bagley and husband Fred, LaVale, Md.; Lana L. Thompson and husband Edward, Wellersburg; and Teresa L. Ringer, Confluence; three grandchildren, Vicki Shaffer. Calif.; Rodney Bagley, Pullman, Wash.; and Tracey Smith, Meyersdale; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Ringer, Hyndman; and a sister, Myrtle Hitzelberger, Libertytown, Md. Ringer retired from the Amcelle Plant, Celanese Corp. of Am., in Cumberland. Md., where he was employed as a painter. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie, Md., and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. There will be no visitation. Services will he conducted at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Sunday at I p.m. with the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Rockwood.
