Born July 13, 1931, in Greenville Township. She was a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Sylvia I. (Baer) Hutzell. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dixie Lee Fate. Mrs. Ringler was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was the former owner/operator of Ringlet's Sandwich Shop. Mrs. Ringler was past president of the following organizations: VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 23rd District: Somerset County Council: Salisbury VFW Ladies Auxiliary and past vice president of Salisbury Borough Council and Salisbury Firemen's Auxiliary. She was also a member of Salisbury American Legion Auxiliary. Republican Committee Woman and Meyersdale and Salisbury School Boards.She was a former member of Greenville Ladies Aid and former tax collector for Greenville Township. Survivors include her husband. Earl S. "Cotton" Ringler; a son, Richard Allan Ringler and wife Doris, Keyser, W.Va; 3 daughters: Patricia Ann Shaffer and husband Robert, Greensboro, N.C.; Carolyn Weyant and husband Rodney, Meyersdale, and Janice Lease and husband Charles, Cresaptown, Md.; also 6 grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury. Services will he conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David E. Fetter Officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may he directed to St. John's Lutheran Church. Daily American, October 9, 1996 [R614]
