Born Aug. 13, 1921, in Milford Twp., daughter of Jesse and Ruth (Mosholder) Moore. Preceded in death by parents, sister Violet Cochran and brothers-in-law William Cochran and William McQuade. Survived by her husband of 59 years, William H.; son James W., married to the former Bonnie Coblentz, Berlin, and daughter Esther R., married to James Mowry, Somerset; grandchildren: Joyce. married to Robert Hoffman, Douglas Ringler, Richard Ringler and wife Annie, Jennifer, married to Ronald Dunmyer Jr., Robert and Maria Mowry; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Melissa, Jonathan and Jamie Ringler and Bradley Hoffman. Also survived by sisters: Mary, married to Milton Weighley, Anna Martha McQuade, Florence, married to Harry Maust, and Ida Mae, married to Roy Schmuck; also sister-in-law and brother-in-law Elmira Jane and Leon Knepper. A 1940 graduate of Somerset High School. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, Fidelis Sunday School Class, and the Jolly Quilters. A 56-year member of Wills Grange, belonged to Somerset County Pomona Grange, Pennsylvania State Grange and Seventh-degree member of the National Grange. Also member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Second Society of Farm Women, and honored for more than 50 consecutive years of voting. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother, wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother and special friend to many people. She was an exceptional pie baker and enjoyed quilting, sewing and needlepoint. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Monday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing from-10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. Rev. Melvin Kirk Jr., Rev. Glenn Foster and Rev. Robert Stahl officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, Pa. 15530. A Grange service will be held at 7pm Tuesday.
