Ringler, 90, formerly of 537 Winifred Road, died Monday, Sept. 22, 1986, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born in Connellsville, on Aug. 21, 1898, he was the son of the late Sylvester K. and Clara (Smith) Ringler. His wife. Elsie Mae (Whatley) Ringler, died in 1955. He was a retired carman for the B&O Railroad. He attended Mapleside First Church of God. He was a charter member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen, Maryland Lodge 656; and a member of Cumberland Senior Citizens. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Ruth 0. Tashenberger and Mrs. Barbara Richards, both of Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Bernice Cregon, Mabelton, Ga.; and Mrs. Lois Swietzer, Frostburg, Md.; four sons: Gary Ringler, Baltimore, Md.; Thomas F. Ringler Jr., Nooksville, Va.; Leon Ringler, Rehobeth, Del.; and Charles Ringler, Cumberland; three half-brothers: Ory V. Ringler, LaVale, Md.; Stanford Ringler, Hagerstown, Md.; and Sherwood Ringler, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Patsy Ruth Cempf, Meyersdale; one half-sister, Margare Ringler, Hagerstown; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted at the Davis Memorial Cemetery, Cumberland, with the Rev. Marlon King, officiating. The Republic, September 25, 1986 [R639]
