Ringler, 78 years, 11 months, 12 days, died at his home at Vim, last Sunday at 11:00 p.m. following a brief illness due to a paralytic stroke the preceding Wednesday. Born on Oct. 19, 1867, he was the son of Samuel and Delilah (Tressler) Ringler. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ellen H. Ringler; four sons, James R., Mt. Savage, Md.; Robert E. and Leonard, Meyersdale; and Samuel J., Darlington, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Alexander Kreitzburg, Akron, O.; and Mrs. Fay Schraeder, Meyersdale. There are 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Amity Evangelical Reformed Church and the Men's Bible Class. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Ringler home with Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of the Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Union Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price & Son. Meyersdale Republican, September 6, 1946
