   Pete J. Riposo, 75, Somerset Pike, Conemaugh Township, died May 12, 2006, at Select
  Specialty Hospital. Born Jan. 10, 1931, in New York City, son of the late Carmelo
  "Charlie" and Grace (D'Arrigo) Riposo. Survived by wife of 41 years, former Janet M.
  Adams; sisters and brother, Mary, married to Edward Lawrence; Jennie, married to Albert
  Defiore; Josephine, widow of Vincent Borelle; Anthony, married to former Mildred Knight,
  all of Ohio; and Carmella, married to William Widmyer, Michigan; also numerous nieces,
  nephews and other relatives. U.S. Navy veteran of Korean and Vietnam wars, having served
  from 1948 to 1968, plus 10 years of Reserve duty. A life member of Somerset Post 554 VFW.
  Also a member of the DAV Chapter 2, Johnstown, since 1981; Jerome Post 802 American
  Legion; Jenner Rod and Gun Club; Greater Ferndale Sportsmens Club; New Baltimore
  Sportsmen Association; Jerome Sportsmens Association; and Polish Falcons of America Nest
  556, Jerome. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman
  Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday
  at All Saints Catholic Chapel, Acosta. The Rev. Father Justin A. Ratajczak, OFM Conv.,
  celebrant. Committal, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Graveside military rites by Somerset
  County Honor Guard.
