Born June 21, 1917 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Gross) Ripple. Surviving is his wife of 59 years Victoria Sprock Ripple, two daughters: Joyce M. married to Tom G. Krivak of Pittsburgh and Gloria J. Ripple of Chicago, Ill. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Brother of Richard married to Mary C. Ripple of Manheim. A sister Ruth Heckathorn of Newton Falls, Ohio. A foster sister Almeda Manges of Central City. He was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Carl worked at Agway Inc. in Manheim as a pellet mill operator until his retirement in 1979. Formerly he had worked for 20 years as a coal miner at Reitz Coal Co. #4 in Central City. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and trapping. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, 305 Central Ave., Central City, with the Rev. Randy Reynolds officiating. There will be viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment in Daley Christian Cemetery, Central City.
