Ripple, 88, of Mount Pleasant, died March 10, 1999, at her home. She was born May 18, 1910, in Milford Township, a daughter of the late William G. and Nettie (Meyers) Miller. She was a graduate of Rockwood High School and the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital Nursing School. She was a retired registered nurse at the Somerset Community Hospital. Member and past president of the Somerset Nurse's Association and member and past president of the Rockwood Senior Citizens. She was an active member of the Mount Pleasant Senior Citizens. Former member of Mount Pleasant Women's Club and former aide at Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant. Member of the Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren. Survived by her husband, Nile Ripple, one son, William N. Ripple and his wife, Janet, of Mount Pleasant, one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Leanne) Conway of Wiloughby, Ohio; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister, Elizabeth Miller of Frederick, Md., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a twin-brother, Jay Miller, three half brothers, Earl, Earnest and Harry Miller, and a half sister, Violet Barron. Friends will be received at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 East Washington St., Mount Pleasant, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev. Henry Landis officiating. Interment will follow in the Middlecreek Cemetery. Daily American, March 11, 1999 [R653]
