Ray ADDISON MAN ENDS LIFE, RASH Act of R. Risheberger Who Suicides in Pittsburg Where He Faced Serious Charge, Leaves Wife and One Son. J. Ray Risheberger, 28 years of age, a former resident of Addison, committed suicide Saturday morning by hanging himself with his belt. The rash deed was committed at the Allegheny County jail at Pittsburg where the young man was being held on a charge of false pretense and embezzlement. He had filled out his own death certificate and had written three notes, an affectionate one to his wife, another to a relative and one to Undertaker J. E. Sims, a former employer of Risheberger. Deceased was born at Addison, February 28, 1877, a son of Charles and the late Lyda (Lydia?) Shirer Risheberger. His father has been in the undertaking business all of his life at Addison and his grandfather was in a similar business. Risheberger was married to Miss Effie Bizler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Bixler. At the time of his suicide, his wife and son were visiting in Fairmont. They arrived there Saturday morning and from there went to the home of Risheberger's father at Addison. Risheberger was (an?) assistant to Funeral (Director?), J. E. Sims for five years at Connellsville. He had been in Pittsburg since June. In addition to his widow he is survived by one son, Edward, his father, Charles Risheberger and a sister, Jessie at Addison and one brother, Harry Risheberger, of Connellsville. The body was taken to Addison and conveyed to the home of his father and the funeral was held at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Risheberger residence, with interment at Addison.
