Ritenour, 90, Melcroft, died Aug. 8, 2004, in Johnson's Personal Care Home, Mill Run. She was born Sept. 2, 1913, in Melcroft, a daughter of the late A.P. and Sarah Elizabeth (Caton) Kalp. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ritenour in 1965; daughter Betty Trice; sons, Richard J. and William Ritenour; three infant children; two grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jess, Walter and Caton Kalp and six sisters: Velva Layton, Jennie White, Ida Brown, Clara Stahl, Wilma Kalp and Lulu Stahl. Edna is survived by sons, Robert Ritenour and his wife, Janet, Melcroft, Jerry Lee Ritenour and his wife Kirsten, Acme; daughters, Geraldine Cramer and her husband, Frank, Melcroft, Faye Romesburg and her husband, Harry Rockwood and Mabel Thomas and her husband, Bill, Donegal; 39 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Beal Kalp, Rockwood and sister Flossie Musgrove, Mill Run. Edna was a lifelong resident of Melcroft. Prior to her retirement she worked as a cook for the former Mom's Valley Inn and she also worked for the former Cutty's Campground. Edna was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and attended the Melcroft Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of the Acme Senior Citizens. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft. Additional viewing will be held Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of a funeral service, in the Melcroft Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Timothy Bunny and the Rev. Thomas Kroll officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Saltlick Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Albert Gallatin Hospice, 20 Highland Park Drive, Uniontown, Pa. 15401 in memory of Edna M.
