He was born Aug. 12, 1900, in Cook Township, Westmoreland County, son of the late John and Emma (Parks) Roadman. He was a member of Weimer Memorial Church, Stahlstown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; one son, Joseph; one daughter, Rachel; one brother, Bert; three sisters, May, Etta and Ruth. Survived by following sons and daughters: Mrs. Domer (Martha) Overly of Pittsburgh; Dale of Latrobe RD 1; Mrs. Columbus (Gladys) Beeman of Somerset; Kenneth of Berlin; Eugene and Richard Merle, both of New Bern, N.C.; Mrs. Raymond (Elmina) Gardner of Somerset; David of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Robert (Sarah) Dietz and Stanley, both of Tallmadge, Ohio; Paul of Somerset; also, 37 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, one brother, Norman of Lake Placid, Fla.; three sisters: Mrs. Gladys Frost, Mrs. Merle (Sarah) Weimer and Mrs. Elsie Erwin, all of Ligonier RD 4. Friends will be recetved from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the L. Boyd Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Route 711, Stahlstown, where services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Merle N.
