  Paul E. Roberts, 78, Boswell RD 1, died the evening of Nov. 9, 1993,
  at home.  Born April 20, 1915, in Hillwood, son of George A. and Beda
  E. (Stiffler) Roberts.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Lewis Ream;
  grandson, Kenneth Roberts, and these brothers: Gilbert, Ishamel,
  Arthur and Donald, and sister, Evelyn Ringler.  Survived by his wife,
  the former Alice M. Wrestley, and these children: Eugene, married to
  the former Annabelle Rhoades, Laughlintown; Carol, wife of Edward
  Eckenrod, Hallstead, and Barry, married to the former Patricia Nitch,
  Jennerstown; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brother
  of Mona Leighty, Central City; Clair, married to the former Esther
  Shaulis, Boswell RD 2; Elton, married to the former Stella Eppley,
  Almstead Falls, Ohio; Emma, wife of Fred Weimer, Boswell RD 2; Nancy,
  wife of George Haggedus, Brook Park, Ohio; Dorothy Kissell, Ligonier;
  Louella, wife of Clyde Naugle, Laughlintown; Deloris Strickler,
  Waterford; Archie, married to the former Mary Leighty, Parma, Ohio;
  and sister-in-law, Ruth Roberts, Hollsopple; numerous nieces and
  nephews.  Member of Jenner Township Baptist Church. American Legion
  Post 945, North Star Democrat Club.  Army veteran of World War II.
  Observed 45th wedding anniversary March 8, 1993. Retired in 1979 as a
  foreman for various local coal companies with 43 years of service.
  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service
  will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Revs. Curt Hamel and C.J.
  Ickes officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.  Military graveside
  rite by Menoher Post 155, VFW.
