Robertson, 79, of 70 Grant Street, Salisbury, passed away on Dec. 17, 2002 at the Meyersdale Medical Center, Meyersdale. Born Nov. 24, 1923 in Boynton, he is the son of the late Harry E. and Leora (Zinn) Robertson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Walker. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Miller) of Salisbury and three children: John R. and wife, Sherry (Resh) of Roanoke, Va.; Donald and wife, Maryjane (Sperry) of Springs; and Peggy Paul and husband, Ronald of Salisbury and also the following grandchildren: Natalie (Robertson) Carr and husband Dave of Annapolis, Md.; Jennifer (Paul) Markee and husband Tim of Greensboro, N.C.; Jacquelin (Paul) Price of Salisbury: Jessica and Geoffrey Robertson; a great-grandson Andrew Price and a sister. Frances Robertson of Boynton He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the. Local 66 International Union of Operating Engineers, and a retired heavy equipment operator on road construction and coal mining. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9165 Mason-Dixon Highway Salisbury, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment will be in Amity Reformed Cemetery, Meyersdale. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside.
