ROBERTSON Heart Attack is Fatal to Officer Charles A. Robertson Died About 3 a.m. Thursday Morning Charles A. Robertson, 43, a Meyersdale police officer, died about 3 a.m. this (Thursday) morning as the result of heart affliction. He was ill and under the care of a doctor for a short time only and his sudden passing was a shock to his family and the community. Mr. Robertson has been a police officer in Meyersdale since June 1, prior to which he was employed as a plumber by Baer & Co. For several years he operated the motion picture theatre on Main Street, now known as the Roxy. He was the son of Arthur Robertson of Salisbury and was born March 24, 1898. His mother preceded him to the grave. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jessie (Saylor) Robertson and one daughter, Mary Alice; also two brothers, Clarence, in the veterans hospital at Coatesville, and William A., at Salisbury. Funeral services will be conducted at the family home on Broadway, Saturday at 2:30 p.m., by Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of Amity Reformed Church. Burial will take place in the Union Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price & Son, morticians. Meyersdale Republican, November 13, 1941
