"Buzz" 06/19//08 The New Republic November 1, 1917 June 9, 2008 Clyde C. "Buzz" Robertson, 90 of York, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. Mr. Robertson was born November 1, 1917 in Boynton, a son of the late William A. and Pearl E. (Deniker) Robertson. He was preceded in death by a son Fredrick W. Robertson. He was the husband of Edith L. (Steele) Robertson, to whom he was married for 68 years. In addition to his wife, Mr. Robertson is also survived by two sons: Richard L. Robertson and wife Gail, Abbottstown, and Don E. Robertson, York; three grandchildren: James Robertson and wife Mamie; Jerry Robertson; Dawn Sizer and husband David; four great-grandchildren: Adam and Christa Robertson and Connor and Logan Sizer; one brother, Edward A. Robertson, Meyersdale and nieces and nephews. He was employed as a Coal Miner for several years and eventually became Union Cement Mason, retiring in 1970. A United States Army veteran of World War II, he was also a member of St. John's (Sadler's) Lutheran Church in Stewartstown, a life member of the Benevolent Order of Moose in Meyersdale and American Legion in Salisbury, he was also a member of the V.F.W. in Salisbury. A funeral service was held at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with his pastor, the Rev. Gordon Ross, officiating. A viewing was held at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in St. Paul's Church of Yellow Creek Cemetery, Hopewell, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John's (Sadler's) Lutheran Church, In Honor of Clyde C.
